After careful exploration of the match between our missions and months of testing out our ability to work together, the Colectivo Flatlander team and PCN Leadership Council decided it was time to make the partnership official.The Network is honored by Colectivo’s decision to affiliate!

As part of the Network’s long-range goal to strengthen communication infrastructure across the country, PCN works to organize official chapters where needed and to affiliate with existing organizations where that is most appropriate.

Currently, PCN has 2 official chapters, Boston / New England and Midwest, and there is a group emerging in the Pacific Northwest. Our other affiliated organization is the Southern-based Community Media Organizing Project.

Eligibility for becoming a chapter or affiliate of the Progressive Communicators Network, includes having:

• a strong overlap of missions, particularly around strengthening grassroots organizing and commitment to diversity
• a designated point person for the chapter/affiliate to connect with PCN National
• a steering committee (or equivalent) after a year’s time and that this committee would reflect the diversity of the region
