Organized in 2004, The Progressive Communicators Network-Boston/New England is the regional chapter of the national Progressive Communicators Network (PCN). PCN exists to strengthen and amplify the power, voices, and vision of grassroots movements that are working for social, economic, and environmental justice. PCN Boston/New England has a listserv of over 70 members and organizes bi-monthly trainings and forums. To see and hear an example of what a forum is like, visit this blog post on Racial Justice Communications in the Obama era.
We welcome participants and members from throughout New England who work primarily as communicators as well as those who do communication connected to their other responsibilities (organizing, for example).
The chapter also holds an annual conference Be the Media. Visit the conference site to learn more.
